Lotto, Heather LPC

Hello! My name is Heather Lotto and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor ( LPC). I completed my graduate schooling through Monmouth University, receiving my Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with adolescents in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient levels of care as well as working with students in the high school setting. In the outpatient setting I have experience working with individuals aged 8 and older on a variety of mental health concerns.

 

I have a passion for offering support to those who may feel overwhelmed or dysregulated. While I focus on using the client centered approach in therapy in order to create a safe space to allow clients the opportunity to feel validated, I am familiar with incorporating other modalities in sessions including CBT and DBT. Working together on identifying the next steps clients would like to take toward finding balance in their life helps build confidence and increase self awareness. I know each individual has their own unique set of stressors and goals, so I believe it is key to work collaboratively to determine what support and skills can be focused on and utilized each session in order to improve their emotional well being.

 

While not working I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking and going for walks with my kids and dog.
